Traditional Confirmation in the Archdiocese

Cardiff_Traditional_Confirmation_2014

On Monday 12th May 2014, Archbishop George Stack conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation upon a young boy at Saint Dyfrig’s Church, Treforest. This was the first confirmation to take place in the Extraordinary Form (to my knowledge) since the changes in 1970. Please pray for him, his family and also his sponsor.

Confirmations in the Extraordinary Form 2014

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated by Archbishop Stack, Archbishop of Cardiff on Monday 12th May 2014 – 6.00pm at Saint Dyfrig’s Church, Treforest, Pontypridd.

This will be the first time the Rite of Confirmation has been celebrated in the Archdiocese according to the Extraordinary Form since the changes in 1970.

Reception, Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion

On Sunday 8th December 2013, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blesséd Virgin Mary at the Poor Clare Convent in Much Birch, Hereford, I had the privilege of sitting in choir for the Reception, Baptism, First Confession, Confirmation and First Holy Communion of Curtis, a gentleman who has had good instruction in the Catholic faith by Dom Antony Tumelty, the Chaplain to Much Birch. All sacraments were administered according to the traditional rite of Holy Mother Church. It was a wonderful occasion and also very rare to see in the Archdiocese and in fact in the church and on behalf of the Latin Mass Society in the Archdiocese of Cardiff I wish Curtis many years of happiness in the Catholic Church…welcome home!
